4 Months Old!

Our big boy is growing up super fast!  Here is what 4 months is like for Grayson. We are a few days late on this post because we wanted to see what the doctor had to say! Here are his stats:

Length: 25.5 inches - 60th percentile
Weight: 18 lbs 5.5 oz - 92nd percentile
Head Cir: 42.5 cm - 73rd percentile
We have a big boy on our hands!

{Um...napping?!}

Sleeping...wait...what is that???  Mr. Grayson is VERY inconsistent with his sleeping - at least at night.  He gives us a long nap in the morning (sometimes 3 hours!) and then gives some cat naps throughout the day.  At night we give him his last bottle about 8 o'clock (if he lasts that long - he would go to bed at 6 if we'd let him!) and then sometimes he will sleep until 7ish.  However - more often than not he wakes up between 2:30 and 6:30 (sometimes every hour or more) and we give him his paci (we know he's not hungry bc he takes his paci and goes right back to sleep AND he doesn't usually take his whole 1st bottle of the day).  We are pretty sure that he is having tummy issues (AKA - when Evan pushes his legs in he rips some mad toots).Gripe water and gas drops are a joke in this household, but hopefully that will be resolved soon so that we can get more of those 11 hour nights! We actually chatted with the dr about this today and he said that he thinks that with starting solids (yikes!) and getting a couple months older will help  with our nights.

*A side note - I would like to give a HUGE shout out to Evan.  He gets up with this sweet boy every single night he wakes up.  He says that I have him all day so he wants to do the nights.  I realize what an amazing man I have in that I know not all husbands are like this. He works so hard all day studying, reading, going to class, and then comes home and is an incredible father to this little man and loving husband to me.  SO.  SHOUT OUT baby.  You are AWESOME.

{Eating on the go.}

Don't worry - the car was parked for feeding on the go :). As far as eating goes, we think you are doing pretty good.  You take anywhere from 28-30 oz a day divided between 4 bottles.  You just dropped a feeding so we are adjusting our schedule.  It seems like the second we get something down - you are ready to shake things up!
{Tummy Time}

Oh tummy time...someday you'll like it.  Someday you will roll over.  We try and try but you just hate it.  You last maybe 10 minutes (and that's a REALLY good day) bury your head, cry and it's the saddest thing ever.  I. Can't. Handle. It. You do however love to read books and the teacher in me is very thankful for that!

You are talking up a storm!  It is precious and hilarious.  Here is a video of what you are saying these days.

{Gigi and Pop's House!}

This month you had your first weekend stay with Gigi and Pops.  You did great!  You know those long nights I was talking about earlier?  You gave Gigi and Pops those every single night!  Now what is that about!? Another shout out here - to my mother.  We also survived mommy getting sick for the first time.  A fever of 103, and strep throat meant she was not getting close to this little man and Gigi was a huge help (so was daddy of course!).  We couldn't have made it without them!

We have had lots of fun during your 4th month.  We have gone to the fair, have visited the Pumpkin Patch too many times, been to many playgroups, and lunch dates! You also had your first Halloween (technically 2 days after the 4 mo mark - but I'm including it!)

We can't believe how fast 4 months went!
Love you sweet baby Grayson!
