Soon to be... {Mrs. Metcalfe}

A couple weekends ago some girlfriends and I threw a very Pinterest and HWTM inspired bridal shower for our friend/sister Cheryl!  It is so fun to throw a shower with creative friends - it comes together much easier that way.  Cheryl loves breakfast, so we did all breakfast food in a "mini" way to add some cuteness.  We were trying to be like these amazing people ha! We had so much fun celebrating Cheryl.  Some tears were shed (um yes by me in the first 10 minutes - all I was trying to do was pray over the food sheesh!!!) when one of the sweet hostesses put together a Blessing for Cheryl and her Birdesmaids.  I'm pretty sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house.  In case you want to do this at your next bridal shower it went something like this - Cheryl gave each of her bridesmaids and her mother a quality (faithfulness, merciful, etc.) that reminded her of them.  Marilyn - the hostess who came up with this brilliant idea then linked each quality to one of the fruits of the spirit, had a scripture to represent it that someone from the shower read and had that bridesmaid pray that quality over Cheryl and Justin's marriage.  After this - she had a small gift to go with each of the Fruits of the Spirit for Cheryl to open.  It was such a sweet idea, and a way to keep the shower centered around what is going to make Cheryl and Justin's marriage last - the love of Christ as the center of their marriage.  It was a wonderful day celebrating our sweet friend and her hubby to be!
